Tarsus

Antipater of Tarsus (d. c. 129 BCE) headed the Stoic school in Athens and played a key role in shaping late Hellenistic Stoicism. Though his writings are lost, he is remembered as a rigorous ethical thinker and as the teacher of figures who carried Stoicism into the Roman world.
