155. If a cone is cut by a plane parallel to its base, what should one think of the resulting surfaces—are they equal or unequal? If unequal, the cone would have many stepped irregularities; if equal, the sections would be equal and the cone would resemble a cylinder made of equal circles rather than unequal ones, which is absurd.
